Arran Quarter Cask The Bothy Single Malt Scotch is distilled on the Isle of Arran using concerto barley and water from Loch na Davie. The spirit is double-distilled in copper pot stills, then matured for 7 years in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels followed by 2 years in American oak quarter casks for intensified maturation. Bottled at cask strength and non-chill filtered.
Sweet and rounded on the palate, with lots of fresh fruit, notably pineapple, plus caramel, chili, and ginger. Relatively long in the fruity finish, with brittle toffee, new oak, and persistent spice.
