The taste is thick and smoky with grilled fruits, a nice ashiness that’s balanced by honey, brown sugar, a touch of figs, and a hint of chocolate mint in the background. The finish is long, smoky, and mouth-watering.
The aftertaste is limited to the usual suspects found in Ardbeg--meaty, seaweed-y, and most of all smoky which makes it seem as if you are a chimney exhaling your contents."
This is pretty good. Distinctive and fairly different from regular Ardbeg but I’m not sure I”d pay what they’re asking on this puppy. It’s unique but not life changing.
