Ardbeg Heavy Vapours is a limited edition whisky from the Islay region of Scotland. Aged in ex-bourbon casks, it is non-chill filtered and bottled at 46% ABV. For this expression, Ardbeg distills without its purifier on.
excellent, if a tad rough and probably immature. More Jerusalem artichoke and turnip, smoky mashes and washes, a feinty side indeed and then certainly more fruitiness (so much for the purifier been shunted). Apples, lemon liqueur, light honey (acacia), liquorice allsorts and a drop of pastis.
