Distilled by Heaven Hill in 1993, this release is a dusty bottling of a now defunct label: Anderson Club. It's bottled at 43% ABV and brought back from Japan, and I'm stoked to be drinking it today. Let's dive in!

  • Whew, a blast from the past that’s hard not to love. The richness, despite the proof, is beyond satisfying. A really interesting look at past production that's frankly wonderful.

  • Nose:

Heavy on cherry cola, root beer, sweet cream and caramel, light anise and everything you’d find at the soda fountain.

  • Taste:

Odd, lovely, richness for 43% ABV, this pour is sweet, fronted with honey, cola and more cherries. Decadent, dark chocolate note, a touch of sour cocoa - like a bold, imperial stout. Creme brulee and morello cherries on the back palate.

  • Finish:

Long finish, all cherries, cola, cocoa and root beer, all day long.

  • Overall:

Whew, a blast from the past that’s hard not to love. The richness despite the proof is beyond satisfying, a really interesting look at past production that's frankly wonderful.
