I may just be thinking about fruit juices after gazing at this elixir's bright pink hue, but the nose offers suggestions of Capri Sun fruit punch and Sunny D.
What you smell is what you get, actually. Vague fruit punch flavors with undercurrents of orange, cranberry, pomegranate and apple. It is an artificial juicy drink that is super easy to knock back, if all you want to do is get something sweet and alcoholic in the system.
The finish concludes quickly with a whisper of grain and dried red date.
It’s not bad, but it’s not great either. Maybe I just don’t love Cosmopolitans. It’s the kind of thing you’d bring to a house party -- it’ll get drunk, but I can't imagine anyone will be clamoring for more. Unless, of course, they really like Cosmopolitans.
