Released in November 2023 by the Highland distillery, Aberfedy, in celebration of its 125th anniversary, this limited-edition 25-year-old whisky was aged in a combination of refill hogsheads and refill butts and finished for over a year in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks.

Rich nose: lumber, apples, pears, white grape, a touch of funky sherry and an interesting sour note.
A little bitter up front. Heavy on apples, pears, tart apple, sulfur and a hint of pepper, fig jam and raisin bread.
Long finish — a touch smoky and savory, a touch of sour apple and lactic funk, tons of tobacco, apple, cream and caramel.
A rollercoaster of a pour, but a fun one. That said, give us cask strength on these big anniversary bottles, Aberfeldy!
