Distilled in spring 1974 at the Pennco Distillery in Schaefferstown, Pennsylvania, A.H. Hirsch 20 Year Old Bourbon Red Wax Finest Reserve was originally commissioned by A. Hirsch. The whiskey was later sold to Gordon Hue, who created the A.H. Hirsch Finest Reserve label. While most of the stock was transferred to stainless steel tanks to preserve a 16-year age statement, some remained in barrel and was bottled at 18, 19 and 20 years. This limited 20-year-old red wax release was among the final expressions from the original lot.
