Released in September 2025, this is the first rye whiskey from 2XO, the brand founded by Master Blender Dixon Dedman, who revived Kentucky Owl and sold it to Stoli in 2017. White Oak Rye is the third release in 2XO's Oak Series, following the American Oak and French Oak bourbons. Bottled at 92 proof, it's distilled by an undisclosed Kentucky distillery (or distilleries) from a mashbill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley. It has a suggested retail price of $49.99.

The nose pops with dill and peppermint, as well as vanilla and butterscotch.
Spicy profile with a nice oaky spine. Dill, peppermint tea, ginger, cinnamon, candied orange.
Buttermilk leads the finish, soon followed by candied orange, candied ginger and milk chocolate.
A very enjoyable and well-balanced rye whiskey, albeit pretty simple and not too complex. The oak pairs well with the spice.
