  • As should well be expected based on that setup, this is the sweetest and fruitiest expression of 15 Stars that I’ve encountered to date.

  • Nose:

The nose is sweet, complex and fruity. Honey, sweet blueberry pie, honeycrisp apple, browned butter, tangerine, grapefruit and vanilla extract.

  • Taste:

Bitter tannin meets praline, apple pie, kiwi and lime rind.

  • Finish:

The finish is long and warming with melted butter, grapefruit peel, marshmallow and coffee bean.

  • Overall:

There are a lot of moving parts here, but the finishes work very well with the bourbon. You can at various points pull out notes from each of the three finishes with ease. The cognac comes through most heavily on the finish for me, while the apple brandy has more to say on the nose. Nicely blended, 15 STARS!
