  • This is a blend of many things, but it works really really well. It plays to my love of rich dessert with plenty of structure and oak to be versatile and interesting.

  • While the structure remains fairly intact, there is quite a bit of char and leatheriness in the finish, in keeping with mature bourbon styles.

  • Nose:

Heavy oak pops first with heavy brown sugar, toffee, maple and gobs of sweet toffee and a hint of ginger. Pure dessert!

  • Taste:

Rich on the palate. Pleasant with present oak, there’s a ton of structure here built around a spice of decadent maple, some blackberry and a hint of cherry and spice.

  • Finish:

Long finish packed with caramels, maple, some tobacco, big ginger and lovely pepper.

  • Overall:

This is a blend of many things, but it works really really well. It plays to my love of rich dessert with plenty of structure and oak to be versatile and interesting.

  • Score:

    88
