The best-selling pre-mixed cocktail brand in America may have accidentally found its way into your energy drink.

On Tuesday, a recall notice posted by the Food and Drug Administration warned consumers that an unknown quantity of High Noon Beach Variety Packs were mislabeled as Celsius Astro Vibe Energy Drink, Sparkling Blue Razz Edition by a packaging supplier. The cans were reportedly sent to retailers in Florida, New York, Ohio, South Carolina, Virginia and Wisconsin between July 21 and July 23.

High Noon says that it discovered the mishap after receiving boxes of empty Celsius cans from its supplier.

Celsius Astro Vibe, launched by the energy drink maker in early 2024, is a blue raspberry-flavored drink that contains 200 milligrams of caffeine, around double that found in a standard cup of coffee. High Noon, meanwhile, is a sparkling vodka-based seltzer canned at 4.5% ABV. The mislabeled Beach Variety Pack contained Peach, Kiwi, Raspberry and Lemon flavors.

If you encounter one of these products in the wild, there’s an easy way to tell what’s what. Celsius cans are always sold with a black lid, while High Noon uses a silver lid. As such, mislabeled batches of Astro Vibe will stand out on convenience store shelves, since the can used underneath the packaging remained the same.

The product recall has been issued for both Celsius Astro Vibe and High Noon Beach Variety Packs, though it does not appear that the High Noon cans were misfilled with anything unusual. Celsius and High Noon are two of the biggest movers and shakers in their respective categories. Founded by husband and wife Steve and Janice Haley in 2004, Celsius languished in relative obscurity for well over a decade before skyrocketing to the top of the charts following the COVID-19 pandemic. The brand is currently the third-largest energy drink in America by market share behind Red Bull and Monster. High Noon was launched in 2019 by E. & J. Gallo Winery, the same firm behind the popular New Amsterdam Vodka. Three years after its launch, High Noon overtook Tito’s to become the best-selling spirits brand by volume in the U.S.
