‘Love Island’ Star JaNa Craig Teams up With Truly for Limited-Edition Hard Seltzer

Though this year’s season of “Love Island USA” may have drawn to a close, the show’s former stars are still as busy as ever.
On Wednesday, Truly Hard Seltzer announced a collaboration with JaNa Craig, the contestant at the heart of one of Season 6’s most talked-about couples. Available now in limited quantities, the Hawaii native’s drink has been dubbed No Shade, Just Tea, combining the brand’s malt-based hard seltzer with real brewed tea and raspberry flavor.
The collaboration was teased as a tongue-in-cheek possibility on Instagram at the beginning of August. The image — which advertised an imaginary flavor called “Loyal-Tea” — raked in nearly 70,000 likes and 500 comments, making it one of, if not the most, viral posts on the brand’s social media page. Lo and behold, Truly listened to the fans and is now making the dream a reality.
Four-packs of the limited-edition flavor are available through Give Me Beer while supplies last. Each can clocks in at 100 calories, one gram of sugar and 5% ABV per 12-ounce serving. Truly says that the cans will be resupplied through multiple drops down the road, though the brand hasn’t given an estimated end date for when No Shade, Just Tea will run dry.
“I’m always down for a Truly, so teaming up with my favorite hard seltzer brand to help create a special drop? It’s giving iconic!” Craig remarked in a news release. “No Shade, Just Tea is a chance to bring raspberry tea realness to fans everywhere and I’m so excited for everyone to try it.”
Craig is the latest in a long line of reality TV stars and influencers who have lent their likeness to beverage brands like Truly. Earlier this year, Four Loko joined forces with lifestyle and gaming collective FaZe Clan for an orange-and-black mystery flavor; months later, “furfluencer” Miss Peaches launched a hard lemonade helmed by the makers of High Noon. MTV’s perennially popular “Jersey Shore” even has its own vodka-based tropical punch called, you guessed it, Juicy Shore.
“This collaboration came straight from our fans – they saw the tease and demanded we make it a reality,” Matt Withington, Truly Hard Seltzer’s senior director of marketing, added. “The excitement around JaNa’s potential flavor was undeniable, so we’re thrilled to deliver exactly what our fans have asked for. Her authentic connection with our audience and genuine love for the brand made this partnership a perfect fit.”
