Italian spirits producer Poli Distillerie has announced its inaugural journey into the ready-to-drink (RTD) market with the release of Poli Negroni, a bottled rendition of Italy’s most beloved cocktail.
Poli Negroni represents a fusion of the distillery’s Marconi Gin, Gran Bassano Rosso Vermouth and Super Taurus Bitter. Described as the cocktail’s “secret ingredient,” Poli’s Super Taurus Bitter boasts a blend of citrus zest, spices, rhubarb, gentian roots, elder flowers and rose petals.
“International but, first and foremost, Italian!” shared Jacopo Poli, co-owner of the family distillery, in a press release. “To the traditional recipe we have added a bar-spoon of elegance, a dash of novelty and, above all, a special ingredient: Super Taurus Bitter, which gives an unprecedented bitter note.”
According to Poli, the rise of RTD cocktails is a global phenomenon, aligning seamlessly with current consumer demands. In 2022, the RTD market surged to an impressive $718.72 billion, boasting a steady annual growth rate of 6.38 percent, as per the findings of Fortune Business Insights.
Based in the heart of Veneto, Italy’s iconic distillation region, Poli Distillerie has a storied lineage spanning four generations. Utilizing ancient copper stills, complemented by modern vacuum bain-marie stills, the brand produces distillates celebrated for their quality.
