Bartesian is expanding beyond traditional cocktails with its first lineup of lightly caffeinated drinks, the at-home cocktail machine company announced Tuesday. The Refresher Collection is a limited-time variety pack designed for use with the Bartesian cocktail machine and can be prepared with or without alcohol.

The collection includes four fruit-forward blends: Strawberry Acai, Pineapple Passion Fruit, Blackberry Mango, and Peach Lychee. Each capsule contains about 55 milligrams of guarana-sourced caffeine, making the drinks closer to a lightly caffeinated beverage than an energy drink.

Like other Bartesian capsules, the Refreshers are made for the Bartesian countertop machine, which mixes and serves drinks in under 30 seconds. Drinkers can prepare each capsule as a light vodka cocktail using 0.2 ounces, or skip alcohol altogether for a caffeinated mocktail. Bartesian positions the drinks as suitable for daytime or early evening occasions, such as casual happy hours or social gatherings where lower alcohol intake is preferred.

The Refresher Collection is sold as an eight-pack, with two capsules of each flavor. The flavor profiles lean on familiar fruit combinations rather than spirits-forward builds, aligning the drinks more closely with highball-style cocktails or flavored refreshers than classic mixed drinks.

Bartesian says the Refreshers are intended to blend functional beverage elements with its existing cocktail system. The capsules are available for purchase through Bartesian’s website while supplies last.
