Australian gin producer The Still Co. has revealed its first entry into the ready-to-drink (RTD) category with Red Night, a bubbly combination of its Barossa Shiraz Gin and Long Rays Dark Soda. Aiming to embody the “spirit of supporting live music and entertainment,” the product’s debut aligns with this year’s Adelaide Fringe Festival.

The official unveiling of Red Night is set to transpire during the “Ignite the Night” campaign running from Feb. 23 to 24. Partnering with local establishments like Vardon Lane, East End Cellars, Mother Vine, Nola, Enoteca and Cheeky Flamingo, the event sees the streets decorated in hues of red while attendees are welcomed to mingle and imbibe.

To extend the celebration, The Still Co. is collaborating with Gluttony (a popular outdoor hub at Adelaide Fringe) to showcase Red Night at the Local SA bar within the venue for the next six weeks. There, attendees can anticipate opportunities to win prizes, snag giveaways and try out The Still Co.’s new RTD cocktail, which, according to the distillery, offers tasting notes of ginger zest, sweet orange, vanilla and lime.

“Red Night embodies the spirit of supporting live music and entertainment, so Fringe, Gluttony, and the street party are a perfect fit,” Co-Founder Casey Mohr shared, per Glam Adelaide.

“While we gave the can a soft launch before Christmas, this Fringe season marks its official debut.”

Taking place this year from Feb. 16 to March 17, the Adelaide Fringe Festival is considered the largest open-access arts festival in Australia. Held in the city of Adelaide, it is a vibrant celebration encompassing a wide array of creative disciplines, including theater, comedy, music, visual arts, dance and more.

Earlier this month, another popular Australian festival inspired a gin-related release. As the official gin partner for the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, Archie Rose Distilling Co. debuted a unique conversational card game named Tell It To Me ‘Straight,’ which is available as an optional gift with the brand’s Straight Dry Gin or Tailored Gin.
