On Thursday, Heineken introduced Heineken 0.0 Ultimate, a new non-alcoholic beer with zero alcohol, zero calories, and zero sugar. The launch marks the first zero-calorie, non-alcoholic brew available in the U.S.

Heineken 0.0 Ultimate builds on the brand’s earlier non-alcoholic options, including Heineken 0.0, Heineken 0.0 Cold Pressed Lime and Nectarine Juniper. The beer targets consumers who want social drinks without compromising on dietary or lifestyle goals.

According to a Brewers Association study, U.S. sales of non-alcoholic beer rose 159% and volume increased 111% from 2021 to 2025. Non-alcoholic beer now accounts for 2.5% of total U.S. beer volume. Younger, health-conscious drinkers and “sober curious” consumers are driving demand for zero- and low-calorie beverages.

“We pioneered the U.S. non-alcoholic beer category with the launch of Heineken 0.0 in 2019 and are continuing to grow and invest with our newest innovations,” Maggie Timoney, CEO of HEINEKEN USA, said in a news release. With over 13 million cases sold, Heineken® 0.0 proves that offering more choices empowers everyone to elevate their social experiences on their own terms. Now, we’re raising the bar again. Heineken® 0.0 Ultimate is our answer for the consumer who wants even more choice: world-class taste, zero alcohol, zero sugar, and zero calories, so you never have to compromise.”

The beer is double-brewed to remove alcohol while keeping a balanced malty body with soft fruity notes. Heineken 0.0 Ultimate is designed for daytime and active social settings, such as outdoor gatherings or sports events.

Following a pilot in 2025, Heineken 0.0 Ultimate is available in select U.S. states: New York, Delaware, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, Texas, Florida, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Washington, Oregon, and Vermont.
