Miso Margarita Recipe: Mexico Gets a Japanese Flair in This Unorthodox Cocktail

In the debut episode of Bottle Raiders’ new YouTube series, “Spin the Bottle,” host Pedro Wolfe was joined by bartender extraordinaire, Gonzalo Ramos. The concept behind the series is this: Pedro and guest spin two wheels, which combine to determine a type of cocktail that must be crafted.

In episode 1, Pedro and Gonzalo were tasked with making a Miso Margarita. Watch the video to see what they came up with! We’ll also include the final recipe below.

Bottle Raiders Miso Margarita Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 oz blanco tequila (click here for a list of the best sub-$50 blanc tequila options)
  • 0.75 oz orange liqueur
  • 1 teaspoon miso
  • 1 dash orange bitters

Directions

  1. Add tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice and bitters to a shaker.
  2. Stir in miso, mixing well to ensure it’s incorporated and no lumps remain.
  3. Add ice and shake well for 15-20 seconds.
  4. Pour over ice into a glass of your choice and enjoy!
