The 2024 teen comedy “Mean Girls,” directed by Samantha Jayne and Arturo Perez Jr., is set for theatrical release on Jan. 12. Starring Angourie Rice, Reneé Rapp and Auliʻi Cravalho, the film reimagines the classic story with Cady Heron (Rice) navigating high school’s social hierarchy. The film promises a comedic and relatable journey through the challenges of high school life.

In celebration of the highly anticipated “Mean Girls” movie premiere on Friday, we present a selection of delicious and perfectly pink cocktails. From the elegance of a rose-hued Negroni to the refreshing allure of a floral Gimlet, these gin drinks (and a fruity non-alcoholic option) not only pay homage to the movie but also make “fetch” happen in the most delightful way.

Canada’s Victoria Distillers released Empress 1908 Elderflower Rose Gin in the U.S. in September 2023. Following the success of the brand’s flagship Empress 1908 Indigo Gin, this offering boasts a vibrant, natural ruby tint derived from red rose petals and black carrots. Featuring lavender, elderflower, orris root, rose, orange peel, cinnamon bark and coriander seed, the gin offers a subtly floral, vegetal and foresty profile reminiscent of fresh beetroot and herbal tea.
