‘Emily in Paris’ Aperitifs from Lillet Make a Fashion-Forward Splash

Toasting the imminent arrival of its fourth season in August, Netflix’s “Emily in Paris” has partnered with Lillet aperitifs for a pair of “chic” fashion-inspired bottlings.
On Tuesday, the Pernod Ricard-owned brand unveiled two new takes on its popular recipe made up of 85% wine and 15% macerated liqueurs. Featuring a daytime and nighttime outfit ripped straight from the hypothetical closet of the titular Emily, the 17%-ABV aperitifs come in Lillet Blanc and Lillet Rosé varieties.
The limited-edition release — the latest in a growing catalog of Netflix co-branded alcohol bottlings — will be available for purchase in the U.S., Germany, Austria, Denmark, the U.K., Switzerland, Belgium, The Netherlands, China, South Korea and Brazil beginning Aug. 1 at a to-be-announced price.
“At Maison Lillet, we were struck by how much our lifestyle brand had in common with the show’s main character, from a shared love of style and culture to a joyful, glamorous outlook on life,” Lillet Head of Marketing Léa Belot said, per The Spirits Business. “Emily’s self-expression, authenticity, and joie de vivre resonates with our community: like every Lillet woman, she knows that ‘chic’ comes from self-confidence, playfulness, spontaneity.”
The show last dipped its toes into the liquor industry in 2022 with the debut of a pre-batched Kir Royale cocktail. Made using crème de cassis, a violet-colored blackcurrant liqueur, topped with copious champagne, the recipe was launched to viral fanfare after it was spotted in a season three episode — much the same as how the Aperol Spritz was reinvigorated by The White Lotus just a few months later.
Elsewhere, popular Netflix brands have taken their own stabs at the concept. Smash-hit dating show “Love is Blind” recently rolled out a Love is Wine chardonnay in collaboration with Cupcake Vineyards; fans of the show won’t be surprised to hear it released alongside a set of golden goblets, frequently sighted in the hands of contestants. Sober-curious drinkers can also find an array of non-alcoholic “The Witcher” beers released by Athletic Brewing Co., the largest zero-proof brewery in the country.
Doubling down on the summery cocktail influences, Lillet has released a duo of recipes interpreting its latest expressions. If you’d like to learn more about the upcoming release, find the Lillet x “Emily in Paris” website here.
