On Wednesday, orange liqueur brand Cointreau joined forces with “Caviar Queen” Danielle Zaslavsky for an exorbitantly bougie cocktail kit. The $125 package contains more than enough vodka, cranberry juice, caviar and crème fraîche to cosplay as 18th-century Russian royalty with Cosmopolitan in hand.

The campaign hinges around Zaslavsky, an influencer known for slathering caviar onto everything from Doritos to rye bread to cucumbers. Her laid-back videos, which have gathered over 46 million likes to date, have catapulted a popular subgenre now known as “Caviar Tok.” The trend has already fueled a variety of crossover releases, most notably a Pringles and Caviar kit which briefly took over social media feeds toward the end of last year.

For its twist on the concept, Cointraeu has joined forces with Zaslavsky’s family brand, Marky’s Caviar Group.

“Cocktails and caviar are both symbols of elevated entertaining, making them a must-serve pairing this holiday season,” Zaslavsky remarked in a news release. “To me, there is no better cocktail than The Cosmopolitan to cheers with during the holidays. It adds a splash of color to any setting, and the bright, citrus notes of Cointreau, along with the cranberry and lime juice really balance the rich, briny flavors of caviar, creating a pairing that’s both decadent and refreshing.”

Each kit contains a full-sized bottle of Cointreau, a half-sized bottle of vodka, fresh lime, cranberry juice and a code redeemable for Kaluga Caviar, mini blinis and crème fraîche through Marky’s. You’ll also find four coupe glasses, a cocktail shaker, a mother-of-pearl dish and a recipe card for making the brand’s signature Cosmopolitan. Pre-orders are now available through ReserveBar with shipping expected in mid-November.

Cointreau

The historied orange liqueur brand was founded in 1849 by brothers Adolphe and Édouard-Jean Cointreau. Over the centuries, its flagship product has been institutionalized through famous cocktails like the Mai Tai, Sidecar, White Lady and the ubiquitous Margarita.

The Cosmopolitan, an easy-going mix of Citron vodka, Cointreau, cranberry and lime juice, is believed to have been invented by Toby Cecchini in 1987. For a time, the cocktail was associated with Manhattan hotspots like the Odeon and the Rainbow Room, where paparazzi once photographed it in the hands of Madonna. In 1998, the Cosmopolitan got its big break as Carrie Bradshaw’s drink of choice in HBO’s “Sex and the City.”

The rest is cocktail history.

“As a leader in cocktail culture, Cointreau continues to explore fresh ways to bring The Cosmopolitan to life, especially during the holiday season,” added Nicolas Beckers, president and CEO of Rémy Cointreau America. “Our collaboration with Danielle Zaslavsky brings together an iconic and stylish cocktail with a timeless delicacy, creating an opportunity for consumers to shake up their holiday traditions with a touch of luxury.”
