‘Whip, Sip, Sleigh’: Cardi B Stirs Up Collaboration Between Whipshots and Kahlúa Coffee Liqueur

On Wednesday, Grammy Award winner Cardi B joined forces with Kahlúa for a series of festive cocktails spotlighting the brand’s latest product, Kahlúa Chocolate Sips.

Available in Smooth Chocolate and White Chocolate varieties, the release is Kahlúa’s first foray into the popular cream liqueur category dominated near-exclusively by Bailey’s. To give its latest launch a little oomph, Kahlúa recruited help from Cardi B’s Whipshots, a vodka-infused whipped cream brand launched in 2022.

The collaboration is imagined through a series of crossover drinks like the “Mocha-tini” (Chocolate Sips and Mocha Whipshots) and the “Cardi Cane” (White Chocolate Sips and Peppermint Whipshots). Think of it like those jelly bean recipes where you combine marshmallow and graham cracker flavors to make s’mores. Except, of course, there’s booze.

“You know I’m all about keeping things fun, festive and simple – that’s why Whipshots teaming up with Kahlúa Chocolate Sips was a no brainer for me,” Cardi B said in a news release. “Combining Kahlúa Chocolate Sips with Whipshots is the perfect way to get the party started.”

We tried Whipshots in vanilla, mocha and caramel varieties when the brand launched in 2022, and we weren’t left disappointed. Each is punctuated by exactly the kind of sugary blast you’d expect alongside a noticeable dollop of vodka. Be warned, however, that these will fill you up fast — we’d highly recommend against chugging a full can before a night out.

In the time since our review, Whipshots has expanded its catalog with peppermint, lime, strawberry and pumpkin spice flavors.

Kahlúa, meanwhile, is best known for its namesake coffee liqueur. Launched in Veracruz, Mexico in 1936, the brand has expanded its catalog in the near century since with flavors including Mint Mocha, Vanilla Coffee, Salted Caramel and Blonde Roast Style.

Its latest product is bottled at 16% ABV and is available now at a suggested retail price of $24.99. For more information, check out the Kahlúa website here.

“This first-of-its-kind offering from Kahlúa is designed to encourage consumers to ‘Stir Up’ their typical cocktail experience and savor the moment,” Kahlúa brand director Saragh Killeen added. “Kahlúa Chocolate Sips bring a new level of ‘deliciously easy’ convenience to chocolate lovers, ensuring a premium quality experience that is both exceptional and indulgent.”
