Introducing a distinctive addition to the juniper spirits landscape, Whitley Neill has recently revealed a limited-edition savory gin — Smoky Bacon and Horseradish.

As its name implies, the unique expression boasts notes of smoky bacon paired with a horseradish kick. The Spirits Business reported that, despite being crafted with natural flavorings, the gin is bacon-free, ensuring a vegetarian-friendly sip.

“We’ve seen a big increase in the popularity of savoury flavours in the UK on-trade over the past couple of years, from Martinis made with Parmesan, aged in balsamic barrels or even infused with umami flavours of porcini mushrooms,” shared Poppy Williams, Group Marketing Manager at Halewood Artisanal Spirits, per the report.

“As consumers continue to seek out these unique flavours, we’ve created this full-flavoured Smoky Bacon & Horseradish Gin to tap into this growing trend.”

Whitley Neill positions this gin as ideal for enhancing brunch cocktails such as the Red Snapper, simply mixed with tomato juice or added to a martini for a “savory twist.” Bottled at 45% ABV, Smoky Bacon and Horseradish Gin is now available for purchase at a retail price of £21 ($26.65).

Whitley Neill is no stranger to distinctive flavor combinations, showcasing a myriad of intriguing expressions within its permanent range. Among these are Banana and Guava, Aloe and Cucumber and Apple and Red Berries.

In June of last year, the brand took a unique approach by combining its gin with approximately $31,000 worth of diamonds. These precious stones were discreetly incorporated into 15 bottles of its Distiller’s Cut expression in an effort to revive the tradition of passing down family heirlooms.
