On Monday, The St. Regis Bar at The St. Regis Deer Valley Hotel in Park City, Utah, unveiled the eagerly awaited second edition of its St. Regis Barrel Select Gin. Produced by Alpine Distilling, the limited release consists of 600 bottles, each hand-labeled and sealed with German-engineered walnut bar stoppers.

Certified OU Kosher and naturally gluten-free, The St. Regis Barrel Select Gin has already garnered acclaim, earning a Gold Medal from the Women’s Wine & Spirits Awards in London. Alpine Distilling has likewise received numerous awards for its other offerings, including Gin of the Year in London and Best Craft Gin from USA Today four times.

“The Barrel Select Gin is a world-class, award-winning spirit that blends the beauty of the Wasatch Mountains and the unmatched luxury offered by the St. Regis Deer Valley and the adventurous innovation of Alpine Distilling,” shared Sara Sergent, co-founder and co-owner of Alpine Distilling, in a press release.

St. Regis Barrel Select Gin’s botanical mix includes juniper berries from Croatia, coriander seed from Egypt, cardamom from Guatemala, angelica root from France, orris root from Morocco, lemon peel from America and licorice root from China. Prior to distillation, the mash undergoes an infusion with Brazilian and Nicaraguan coffee beans. The spirit is then allowed to mature for 2.5 years in American oak barrels before being cut with reverse-osmosis deionized water. The resulting gin is described as juniper-forward, lightly floral and bold, with a citrusy, intense woody character, complex sweetness and dry finish.

The distinctive Sego Lily-shaped custom bottle pays homage to Utah’s state flower, symbolizing resilience, beauty and a pioneering spirit. The bottom of the bottle additionally offers a unique view of the beloved bloom.

St. Regis Barrel Select Gin is recommended to be enjoyed neat, over ice, in classic cocktails like the Old Fashioned and French 75 or original creations.

“We are thrilled to launch the second generation of the St. Regis Barrel Select Gin,” Parker Teske, assistant director of food and beverage at The St. Regis Deer Valley, added in the press release.

“All spirits cognoscenti will savor the botanicals and dry finish of this small batch gin. The St. Regis Barrel Select Gin will be featured in cocktails including the St. Regis Martinez, made with Carpano Antica and Amaro Nonino, and Rosemary’s Baby, made with Maple, Peychauds and Rosemary.”

“The St. Regis Barrel Select Gin exudes the Resort’s impeccable standards.”

Priced at $365 for a 750-mL bottle, St. Regis Barrel Select Gin is available at the resort’s dining venues: St. Regis Bar, RIME, La Stellina, Brasserie 7452 and Astor Bar. Resort guests can also acquire the gin through in-room dining.
