Langley’s Gin, under the Charter Brands umbrella, has successfully ventured into the Lebanese market via Fawaz, a Beirut-based distributor. As reported by The Spirits Business, Charter Brands is currently targeting key markets in Asia and the Middle East as part of expanding Langley’s international reach.
“Gin is the third biggest spirits category in Lebanon, coming after whisky and vodka, and it goes without saying that our first choice was Langley’s Gin,” shared Fawaz Spirits Sales Manager Samer Romanos, according to The Spirits Business.
“The quality of the gin, its refinement and commitment to its craft made us choose the brand among others. At Fawaz we are dedicated to curating a portfolio that exemplifies excellence, and Langley’s Gin perfectly aligns with our vision.”
“With its rich heritage, meticulous and traditional distillation process, and unparalleled flavour profiles, Langley’s Gin presents a thrilling opportunity to elevate our range and offer consumers an unforgettable gin experience.”
“Together, with Charter Brands, we look forward to creating memorable moments and shaping the future of the spirits industry.”
Charter Brands, with a portfolio including El Tequileño Tequila, Agitator Whisky and Aluna Coconut Rum, champions collaboration with top-tier importers in each market to fortify its position. Arkaitz Giménez, Charter Brands’ Sales Director, underscored the company’s commitment to global growth amidst fierce competition.
“While Europe remains integral to our operations, our established presence in important APAC [Asia Pacific] and LATAM [Latin America] markets underscores our commitment to global growth,” Giménez shared in The Spirits Business report.
“In each market, we’re dedicated to partnering with top-tier importers to further establish Langley’s Gin. Despite fierce competition, our dedication to delivering value worldwide, alongside our sustainability initiatives, reinforces our position as a respected independent brand.”
Langley’s is dedicated to sustainability, striving to be the most eco-friendly gin brand globally. It donates 1% of all Langley’s brand revenue to 1% for the Planet and contributes $0.50 for each bottle of Langley’s Old Tom to Panthera, a charitable organization devoted to preserving wild cats and their ecosystems. The bottles comprise at least 60% post-consumer recycled glass, and all labels and outer cases are made from 100% recycled paper, maintaining a commitment to being entirely plastic-free in its products.
Langley’s current range includes a classic London Dry, a spiced-up Old Tom and the citrus-forward First Chapter Gin. The collection has garnered notable awards, including a Master accolade in 2013 and “UK Gin of the Year” in 2016. The latest addition, First Chapter, introduced in 2021, received a gold medal at The Spirits Business Gin Masters.
