Following its successful entry into global travel retail, English spirits brand Brockmans Gin has unveiled Brockmans Agave Cut, an innovative gin inspired by mixology artistry in New York City.
According to Brockmans Gin’s CEO Guy Lawrence in a report published by the Drinks Business on Tuesday, the new release is made from a base of Brockmans classic gin, which has been cut with agave spirit and introduced to a “little hint” of pink grapefruit.
“What we are doing, really, is tapping into Brockmans classic English gin with the fiery passion of Mexico’s agave spirit with the pink grapefruit to help it along,” Lawrence added, per the news outlet.
“The inspiration came from New York where bartenders were cutting gin cocktails with agave spirits and we thought it was really interesting and unique and fitted into the Brockmans’ ethos which is about doing things a little bit differently.”
“We have always called ourselves the proper improper gin.”
Brockmans Gin has long held its roots in key markets like the UK, Spain, and Italy, where it has consistently ranked among the top gins by market share, the Drinks Business reported. Expanding its horizons, the brand is making considerable inroads in the U.S., Canada and South America, with a keen eye on the burgeoning Asian market in the upcoming year.
Lawrence also proudly commented on his brand’s successful global reach, which has distributed an impressive one million bottles across 50 diverse markets worldwide.
“Things are going really well, we’re doing about a million bottles around the world,” the CEO explained, according to the Drinks Business. “We are in 50 or so different markets now, which is great.”
“This year has been good, although it has been harder for many brands, for us we have a very strong team and have been able to deliver some great results including a new innovation which we launched in the summer called Brockmans Orange Kiss and another one we are unveiling.”
Priced at around £46 ($55.83) per bottle, Brockmans Agave Cut is being introduced in Cannes for the duty-free market, initially available in a limited edition, complete with individually numbered bottles and presented in a gift carton.
