Despite its nearly millennium-old origins, gin is constantly finding ways to innovate and expand in the 21st century. Recent trends favoring aged expressions, pink gin and craft cocktails like the Negroni have introduced a new wave of consumers to the botanical-infused classic. As tides shift, one is left to wonder which names make up a lion’s share of the market.

Going off of The Spirit Business’ recently released Brand Champions report, we’re rounding up the best-selling gin brands of 2023. Among them are a handful of tried-and-true favorites. Last year, six of the top nine brands originated from the U.K., unsurprising considering gin’s decidedly British reputation (though to be clear, the spirit is thought to have been invented in the Netherlands). Elsewhere, popular contenders from the U.S., Russia and Spain made their mark on crowded liquor store shelves.

For each entry on the list, we’ll provide a brand name, the company that owns it and how many 9-liter cases it sold in 2023. Let’s dig in:
