Whiskey Washback took on Houston, Texas, on October 4 for a fun-filled evening where guests could taste through offerings from Basil Hayden, Angel’s Envy and more. The traveling whiskey and culinary festival is the sister event to summer’s wildly popular Arte Agave festival.

Bottle Raiders acquired both event companies in May, and we’ve been keeping the party going ever since!

It’s been a pivotal year for Bottle Raiders in a sort of work hard, play hard sense. In addition to acquiring Arte Agave and Whiskey Washback, Bottle Raiders launched an app, which is like having a spirits critic in your pocket. The Bottle Raiders App uses artificial intelligence to help spirits novices and connoisseurs alike identify their favorite bottles and see what the critics think. At Whiskey Washback Houston, Bottle Raiders was there promoting the new app and giving users a chance to win rare bottles, including a bottle of Weller Bourbon.

Guests had the opportunity to win a bottle of Weller.

Guests indulged in a vast array of elevated Southern cuisine like Truffle Mac n Cheese Martinis and Shrimp and Grits Shooters from Chef White. Whiskey aficionados with a sweet tooth enjoyed chocolate toffee truffle lollipops from Sambucca Restaurant, brookies — brownie cookies — from Zay’s Signature Creations and more desserts from Chef Stevie Brown.

Necklaces from Adriana Soto Joyeria.

Whiskey Washback Houston was nothing short of a shopper’s paradise, and stylish attendees could purchase hats from LWx’s hat bar. Artisans like Adriana Soto Joyeria sold ceramic jewelry and gourmands could purchase savory snacks from Clark’s Jerky.

Gentlemen at Whiskey Washback Houston who found themselves in need of a quick haircut could visit a pop-up from Scissors and Scotch, a barber shop that caters to a whiskey-drinking crowd.

Former NFL Safety Ken Hamlin’s cigar brand, Arrival Cigars, made an appearance and guests were able to enjoy his wares on the patio.
