Whiskey Washback closed out 2024 with a Nov. 22 event in Washington, D.C., marking the end of an action-packed year. Bottle Raiders acquired the touring whiskey festival along with its sister festival, Arte Agave in May.
In addition to acquiring the event companies, Bottle Raiders launched its own app in September. The AI-powered app uses algorithms to perform image processing techniques and analyze labels from bottles. Once the labels are scanned, pattern recognition allows users to read critics’ scores from some of the top spirits publications to assess whether or not the bottle they come into contact with might be worth the buy. The app was promoted at many Whiskey Washback events with giveaways of rare bottles.
Whiskey Washback traveled across the U.S. with stops in Atlanta, Dallas, New York City and Houston. Attendees were able to taste through a veritable cornucopia of whiskey brands, ranging from heavy hitters to up-and-comers. At each stop, local chefs joined forces with Whiskey Washback, showcasing unique cuisine.
