Super Bowl LX Alcohol Ad Roundup: From Budweiser Clydesdales to Mezcal Rabbit Races

Brewing powerhouse Anheuser-Busch will be the biggest advertiser across all categories at Super Bowl LX, with exactly two and a half minutes of national ad time split across Bud Light, Budweiser and Michelob Ultra. If you’ve ever tuned in to a game, you already know what to expect: a cavalcade of celebrities, horses and freshly cracked beer cans fizzling onto tens of millions of television screens, usually accompanied by some sort of sweepstakes and at least one viral moment bound to go buck wild on social media (for better or for worse).

As always, Anheuser-Busch will command the lion’s share of attention on the hottest advertising day of the year. But what about all the other alcohol brands?

Below, we’ve rounded up six major names that are capitalizing on the festivities both on and off screen. In addition to the ubiquitous trio of beer brands, viewers will discover a vodka-loving, early-aughts android, papier-mâché heads and a rabbit race that pays not-so-subtle homage to recent Album of the Year awardee Bad Bunny.

Bud Light

Super Bowl

Last year’s Super Bowl ad starring Shane Gillis, Post Malone and Peyton Manning must have been pretty darn successful, or else Bud Light wouldn’t have brought the trio back for a second year in a row. This time around, the A-listers find themselves at a wedding when, out of the blue, an errant beer keg breaks loose and rolls down a hill. Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” croons in the background as groomsmen, flower bearers and celebrities alike tumble their way down the slope in pursuit of the runaway Bud Light. In an era of ready-to-drink cocktails and nonalcoholic alternatives, it should come as no surprise that Bud Light is harkening back to a slice of mid-2000s drinking culture when the keg reigned king (as we’ll soon see, a return to “simpler times” is a common thread across most Super Bowl alcohol ads this year).

Michelob Ultra

Michelob Ultra, currently the best-selling beer in America, is doubling down on its bona fides in the sports world. Legendary ’80s action star Kurt Russell will join forces with Lewis Pullman (of recent Marvel Cinematic Universe fame), Olympic gold medalist Chloe Kim and NHL champion T.J. Oshie as they navigate their way up and down a ski slope with beers in hand. The campaign was helmed by “Top Gun: Maverick” and “F1” director Joseph Kosinski, who can’t seem to catch a break from filming things go *woosh* across a big screen.

Budweiser

The Budweiser Clydesdales are returning for their 48th Super Bowl appearance, and this time, they’ve brought a friend. The Budweiser ad spot tells the story of a foal that befriends a baby bald eagle, growing up over the years as they learn to fly, gallop and, eventually, recreate the silhouette of a soaring pegasus. It’s a classic bit of bygone Americana, infused with the animal friend sentimentality of an animated Disney movie. Budweiser ads have often strived for big emotions over big laughs, and this year’s is no different.

Svedka

Sazerac, the Louisiana-based powerhouse behind Fireball Cinnamon Whisky and Buffalo Trace Bourbon, has already stirred up dozens of opinion pieces about its first Super Bowl commercial. 2026 marks the return of the Fembot, Svedka’s (in)famous martini-drinking mascot, unceremoniously retired over a decade ago. In place of dated taglines and shoddy CGI, the new-and-improved FemBot will appear alongside a sidekick, the BroBot, in a 30-second ad created by San Francisco-based AI innovation lab Silverside. The brand has yet to release any footage from the campaign, in part because it’s likely still in the final stages of rendering. According to the team, the FemBot will perform a dance routine choreographed by a contest winner chosen from Instagram and TikTok in January.

Liquid Death

Liquid Death may not be an alcohol maker, but it’s certainly alcohol adjacent. Over the past year, the California-based water brand has debuted a handful of much hyped, if slightly gimmicky, crossover releases, including a one-off collaboration with WhistlePig whiskey and a 19 Crimes wine dosed with “a single drop” of Liquid Death Mountain Water. The brand’s Super Bowl ad is shaping up to be just as ridiculous, though demonstrably less boozy. Liquid Death will be promoting its new Sparkling Energy line with a 30-second national ad during the first half of the game. A 12-second teaser trailer featuring a trio of grinning papier-mâché heads is the only clue of what’s to come.

400 Conejos

400 Conejos, Spanish for “400 Rabbits,” sensed a once-in-a-lifetime marketing opportunity in headline performer Bad Bunny. However, the brand (owned by no less than Jose Cuervo) apparently didn’t feel like splurging on a Super Bowl ad. The mezcal maker will instead be hosting its own Bunny Bowl, a race between adoptable rescue bunnies set to broadcast a few hours before the Big Game. Influencer TravQue and journalist Jamila Mustafa will act as commentators, encouraging bunnies from the sidelines as they make their way toward the finish line. If you’re interested in watching the fuzzy festivies, check out the livesteam on the 400 Conejos YouTube beginning at 3 p.m. EST on Feb 8.
