Tequila Ocho, a major player in the additive-free agave spirits movement, is refreshing its look with a new global packaging design.

The reimagined bottles will include textured glass, an engraved wood cap and labeling listing each bottle’s harvest year and field altitude. Each of the new bottles also contains a QR code, directing users to a website filled with tasting notes and terroir characteristics.

The “fingerprinted” aesthetic aims to give Ocho a punchy, immediately recognizable look for consumers in different markets.

“After having different branding and packaging in different parts of the world for so many years, we are thrilled to introduce this elegant new bottle to unite the brand globally. The liquid remains unchanged, having been brought to life using only the highest quality raw material and production processes being used,” says Tequila Ocho Global Brand Ambassador Jesse Estes.

Tequila Ocho is headed up by the renowned Carlos Camarena, the same maestro tequilero behind El Tesoro, Tapatio and Tequila Curado. The brand has garnered a dedicated following among agave enthusiasts over the past decade, many of whom have fallen in love with the brand’s additive-free ethos and commitment to single-estate production. All of Ocho’s Blue Weber agave is grown on its own fields, rather than bought second-hand.

In addition to its regular catalog, Tequila Ocho has released a 53% ABV over-proofed blanco as well as a 12-month bourbon-finished añejo over the past few months.
