Caribbean rum bottlers, Ten To One has recently announced the latest addition to its list of core offerings, the Five Origin Select. This rum will be the third permanent expression for the brand joining the White and Dark Rums.

The Five Origin Select rum is comprised of rums from Trinidad, Barbados, the Dominican Republic and Jamaica together with an 11- to 15-year, extra-old Guyanese rum distilled on a rare 250-year-old Port Mourant Double Wooden Pot Still, the only one of its kind still in operation. The rum is blended with no added sugar, coloring, or flavoring and bottled at 46% ABV.

The brand describes the rum as having aromas of crème brûlée, hazelnut, baking spice, orange zest and stewed stone fruits. On the palate, the rum has notes of Cacao, vanilla, peppercorn, rich toffee, hazelnut, ginger and crisp apple with mild acidity, a medium body and a long clean finish.

Ten to One is a Black-owned rum brand that is co-owned by R&B Singer Ciara and Founder Marc-Kwesi Farrell. The brand honors a centuries-old tradition of rum making in the Caribbean and pays tribute to the people who made the spirit in the past and still today.

Last year, Ten to One released a collaborative rum featuring rum aged in Uncle Nearest Whiskey barrels for Black History Month. Like Ten to One, Uncle Nearest is a black-owned brand celebrating Black heritage in the spirits industry.

The Five Origin Select Rum has an SRP of $64.99 and is available online as well as in select bars, restaurants and retailers across the US.
