On Sunday, some delayed passengers at the Buffalo airport took notice of frequent camera cuts to Taylor Swift watching the Kansas City Chiefs take on the New York Jet. The passengers got creative and came up with a drinking game which apparently led to some pre-flight antics.

Rumors continue to swirl about a budding romance between Swift and Chiefs’s tight end Travis Kelce. Last weekend, Swift attended her second Chiefs game in a row to support her new beau. Her attendance has not gone unnoticed by those covering the games either, with frequent shots of the “Cardigan” singer watching the game. This time, Swift was joined by Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively and Hugh Jackman. With that kind of star power present, it’s no wonder that networks filmed the crowd for a glimpse of the singer and her celebrity friends.

While Swift was drinking Betty Booze cocktails at the game, some delayed passengers in Buffalo were creating a drinking game to keep track of the Swift spottings. ESPN reporter Jeff Darlington was apparently one of the delayed passengers. According to him, his flight was delayed around the time of the Sunday night football game. Darlington and other passengers decided to make “the most of it” and made a Taylor Swift drinking game.

Darlington tweeted, “Delayed out of Buffalo’s airport, but we’re making the most of it. We’re drinking for every time they show Taylor Swift — and I’m buying shots for the bar every 5th time they show her. Let’s go!”

The pop icon must have made quite a few appearances because some of the delayed passengers seemed to have overindulged. One passenger even created “Trouble” when he walked in.

In a follow-up tweet, Darlington said, “Annnd we’re delayed again because a guy puked when he boarded the plane. Not kidding. My bad?”

The ESPN reporter appeared to take at least partial responsibility for the sick passenger, but it’s unclear if the two incidents were related. It doesn’t appear that there was “Bad Blood” between the passengers following the vomiting incident.

According to the Athletic, the NBC broadcast showed Swift at least 17 times during the game. Based on the rules of the new Taylor Swift-inspired drinking game that is at least 3 shots and Darlington must have racked up quite a bar tap.

Swift must be bringing the NFL team a heap of good luck because the Chiefs are currently 2-0. However, her game attendance may be considered bad luck at least for the delayed and probably hungover passengers although they will probably “Shake it Off” eventually.
