Diageo announced on Wednesday that Tanqueray No. TEN gin, Stanley Tucci and Director of Mixology Ago Perrone, or “the master of the martini” are joining forces to introduce a global residency series celebrating cocktail culture.

The brand additionally unveiled a new bottle design for Tanqueray No. TEN which features a citrus press shape, meant to celebrate how citrus fruit is used in the Tanqueray No. TEN production process.

For the Tanqueray No. TEN residency, the brand will be promoting various events featuring some of the top bartenders in the world, known as “Tastemakers of Tanqueray No. TEN.”

Some of the bartenders joining in on the experience include Giulia Cuccurullo from The Artesain, Kelia Urzaiz de Calignon and Yoann Tarditi from Satan’s Whiskers, Italian cocktail expert Matteo Di lenno, Oisin Kelly from The Sidecar at The Westbury Hotel, Andy Ferrerria from Cask in Cork and many more.

The very first residency features Tucci and Perrone at The Connaught Bar.

The residency expands upon the friendship between Perrone – “The Master of the Martini” — and Tucci. The duo met when the “The King’s Man” actor worked a “guest shift” behind the stick at The Connaught Bar. The two created a cocktail with Tanqueray No. TEN gin that is inspired by a negroni and a martini.

It will be featured on a limited-run menu at the bar.

“Cocktail making is a unique craft that welcomes curious and inventive minds to push the boundaries of flavor and hospitality,” Tucci said according to a statement from the brand. “I’m delighted to partner with Tanqueray No. TEN to celebrate bartenders as the true artists that they are, with cocktail residencies around the world.”

After the residency at The Connaught Bar, Tanqueray No. TEN will be featured at events during Milan Design Week. The brand will then jet off to Ireland and partner with Irish bartending legends to continue its residency series.

As for the bottle’s new design, it appears that Tucci is a fan.

“The new bottle is a beautiful homage to the brand’s heritage, craft and longstanding place in the world of bartending,” the actor and Martini enthusiast concluded.
