Supermodel and actress Kate Upton has recently announced that she is joining in on the celebrity-backed alcohol trend. The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model will be joining the vodka cocktail brand, Vosa as a co-owner alongside co-founders Spencer Bailey and Michela Drago.

It seems as though every day there is another celebrity touting a new beverage brand.  This week alone has been big for celebrity-endorsed spirits from Matthew McConaughey and wife Camila Alves’ new tequila brand to Michael Bublé’s whiskey.

Apparently, Upton’s role will be more than just her shining endorsement as Upton’s role will involve her being the face of the brand as well as other marketing strategies. She is also poised to participate in the development of new flavors and packaging designs.

Vosa Spirits started in the “The Other Woman” star’s home state of Michigan. The brand launched in 2021 with the goal of being the “ultimate alternative to malt-based hard seltzer.” Since then it has produced two lines of vodka-based drinks – Vosa Vodka Water and Vosa High Line.

“After trying Vosa, I was really excited about the company,” Kate Upton told Forbes. “I’ve tried so many products in the space, and none of them really checked all the boxes. I’ve always cared about what ingredients I put in my body, and Vosa brings the highest quality ingredients, with no artificial sweeteners or preservatives. As I’ve gotten older and become a mother, what you put in your body affects your health, hormones, mood and hangovers. The better the ingredients, the faster you recover.”

The company is looking to rake in a variety of drinkers with its approach to having both carbonated and non-carbonated offerings. This isn’t a new move as other brands like Mom Water have also capitalized on a market that finds drinking heavily carbonated beverages difficult.

“They saw a space where not everyone wants carbonation,” said Kate Upton. “To offer that option is so innovative, and there’s also a huge health component. We’ve known for so long that vodka and water is a healthier option when you’re drinking.”

Vosa Vodka Water is a carbonation-free line and comes in four flavors including, Raspberry Lime, Pineapple, Peach and Lemon. Each is made with six-time distilled vodka, still water, real fruit juice and natural flavors, and is canned at 5% ABV.

Vosa High Line is lightly carbonated and is available in Peach, Lemon, Cherry and Pineapple flavors with the same vodka, real fruit juice and natural flavors but slightly boozier with a 7% ABV.

Vosa Spirits products are made and packaged in Michigan. Currently, the vodka drinks are available in Michigan and will soon be launching in Florida, with additional markets to follow. Fans of the model located elsewhere can purchase on the brand’s website where the drinks are shipped nationwide.
