UK-based spiced rum brand, Sly Dog has expanded its range with a new flavored edition inspired by stone fruits. Sly Dog Stoned Fruit expression was made to ‘redefine the way we perceive rum by “evolving rum away from traditional naval motifs.”

The Sly Dog Stoned Fruit is made up of a three-year-old gold rum sourced from a carbon-neutral distillery in the Dominican Republic that has been infused with ripe stone fruits as well as pink peppercorn and other spices.

The sweet and sour rum is meant to highlight the flavors of stone fruits such as peaches and apricots. These fruity flavors are supported by rich notes of papaya, the spices of the peppercorn as well as the other “secret” ingredients that remain undisclosed.

“For too long, rum has been paired with coke and called a day, however, Sly Dog Stoned Fruit invites you to explore a world of possibilities,” said Erin Sumner, head of marketing.

“Whether you’re a cocktail connoisseur or you prefer your spirits neat, our new flavored rum opens up a realm of mixers and cocktails waiting to be discovered. It’s time to redefine how you enjoy your rum and let your creativity flow.”

The Stoned Fruit has an ABV of 40% and an RRP of £33.95 (US$42). The rum is currently available from Sly Dog’s website or through JBE Imports.
