Presidential Candidate Kamala Harris Teased on Saturday Night Live About Her Purported ‘Drinking Problem’

CNN Reported that Saturday Night Live roasted the Presidential Candidate Kamala Harris about her alleged “drinking problem” in a sketch. Vice President Harris was played by Maya Rudolph, and in the sketch, Rudolph proceeded to down glass after glass of red wine while watching Tim Waltz — played by comedian Jim Gaffigan — bungle the Vice Presidential Debate.
In an election year that would make anybody want to drink, the sketch was an attempt by the star-studded cast to lighten the mod. JD Vance was played by Bowen Yang, and the show even poked fun at Joe Biden by casting the celebrated comedian Dana Carvey, who wandered into Harris’ living room holding an ice cream cone.
In the sketch, MSN reported that in his portrayal of Biden, Carvey explained that Vice Presidents didn’t matter much.
“Who the hell was Obama’s VP? Nobody knows!” Carvey quipped.
The sketch focused on Gaffigan’s Waltz performing poorly in the Vice Presidential debate against Yang’s JD Vance. Harris’ husband, Doug Emhoff — played by Andy Samberg — asked Harris if she wanted to watch something “less stressful,” like “Monsters: The Lyle and Eric Menendez Story.”
Rudolph’s Harris claimed she was fine and took another sip of wine. Then Gaffigan’s Waltz made a huge faux pas and said the following:
“I’ve become friends with school shooters,” Gaffigan quipped.
Rudolph’s Harris responds by breaking the wine glass in her hand, and Samberg attempts to comfort her.
“Look, this isn’t easy for me either as a goofy white guy, this sets my fellas back,” Samberg quipped as Emhoff. “I’m in a group chat with Josh Gad and Jason Kelce, and the mood is dark.”
The end of the sketch debate featured Vance and Waltz forming a connection. Gaffigan’s Waltz even paid Yang’s Vance a compliment.
“Wow. This guy’s good,” Gaffigan expressed. “He’s got an answer for everything.”
The sketch concluded with the two candidates sharing a moment during the song “Take My Breath Away,” with Rudolph’s Harris spitting out her wine.
“Why are they vibing?!?!” she asked, enraged.

Behind the Jokes About Kamala Harris’ ‘Drinking Problem’
Rumors about Harris’ purported “drinking problem” were being spread by Republicans, according to an article in Newsweek that ran in August. There is no reported evidence of Harris having a drinking problem, and it appears to be yet another personal attack from the former president.
Unlike Joe Biden, Harris has been a more difficult political opponent to attack for ex-president Trump, according to Politico. The outlet reported in July that Republicans were struggling to find an “in.”
“They are literally grasping at straws,” Ex-Deputy Chair of the Minnesota Republican Party Michael Brodkorb said, according to Politico. “Republicans desperately wanted to run against Joe Biden… The introduction of Harris into the race, I think, has upended their attacks and their strategies.”
It appears these unfounded claims about Harris’ “drinking problem” are the latest attempt in Magaland to undermine the Presidential candidate.
Newsweek reported that Trump ally James Blair may have originated the claims on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“A lot of rumors out there about Kamala having a serious drinking problem… apparently coming into focus as the campaign heats up,” Blair posted to X on August 17.
Some individuals within the social sphere didn’t take too kindly to Blair’s post.
“Stop spreading lies,” an individual commented.
Newsweek reported that many pro-Trump supporters spread the claims on X that Harris was a “raging alcoholic” on the platform — which is known for spreading misinformation.
Yet, despite this, Forbes reported on Tuesday that Harris is leading in the polls. She appears to be leading with younger voters in particular, and in late September, the Presidential candidate’s Kamala HQ posted on TikTok about a “Trump Tequila Tax.”
The post shared that Trump apparently is going to implement a 20% tax on all imported goods.
“Guys,” a TikToker working for Kamala HQ expressed. “the Trump Tequila Tax is insane. In case you haven’t heard, he wants to put an across-the-board 20% tax on all imported goods. That means he wants to tax your tequila, and your Coronas, your Modelos, your Hennessy — all of it.”
The Presidential Election is set to take place on Tuesday, November 5.
