Miller High Life announced on Wednesday the launch of a dive bar-themed hot sauce as part of a collaboration between the beer brand and chef Sam Davis-Allonce, the palate behind the hot sauce brand, Hot N Saucy.
“We’re excited to partner with Chef Sam who knows from her own experiences in restaurant kitchens how important it is to balance heat and flavor,” Miller High Life Senior Director of Marketing Frank Cirone said in a news release. “As a favorite amongst the service industry, Miller High Life is proud to work with Chef Sam to create another unique High Life twist on a dive bar staple with a spicy sidekick that gives you a new way to taste the High Life.”
The hot sauce will be available April 29 and hosts a suggested retail price of $12.
“The sauce is inspired by the early days of my career and the late-night dive bar celebrations after long nights in the kitchen with my drink of choice – a crisp Miller High Life,” Davis-Allonce said. “I created this recipe as a toast to that time in my life and all the kitchen staff, bar backs and High Life lovers like me celebrating the High Life with some spice.”
The brand claims each ingredient in the hot sauce made with Miller High Life was inspired by specific memories associated with dive bars. Chipotle peppers were used to add a bit of heat, alluding to the “hot” neon signs hanging in the window. Smokiness was added as a nod to the dive bar scent, with lemon pepper juice serving as an homage to the house wings. The brand additionally chose to add carrot juice “for that slightly sweet, finger-licking feel that only comes with the best dive bar foods.
The brand claims its Dive Bar Hot Sauce “promises to deliver champagne feels on a dive bar budget.”
Miller High Life has released other dive bar-inspired culinary creations. In August, the brand unveiled dive bar-inspired ice cream that was made with Miller High Life-infused ice cream. In December 2021, the brand released a gingerbread dive bar made with gingerbread cookies infused with beer.
