LEX 18 reported Wednesday that a 26-year-old man was arrested after he admitted to stealing a school bus and driving it into a ditch while under the influence of Fireball Cinnamon Whisky in London, Kentucky.

Benjamin Driscoll was identified after crashing the vehicle and apprehended by the London authorities. According to ABC 6, an officer claimed he saw a young man dressed head-to-toe in black crawl out of the wreckage and flee the scene of the incident.

Driscoll admitted to police he drank Fireball Cinnamon Whisky before stealing a school bus from South Laurel High School, and he failed the sobriety test. Driscoll was sent to the Laurel County Detention Center, and upon further investigation, authorities discovered Driscoll had an outstanding warrant in Indiana.

Driscoll was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, unlawful auto theft from $10,000 up to $1,000,000, “first-degree criminal mischief,” fleeing the scene of an accident, reckless and careless driving, failure to wear a seat belt and illegal use of a school bus.

The crash is still under investigation, according to officers.

At the end of February, a New Jersey priest named Father Dawid Wejnerowski was arrested after allegedly shoplifting at Walmart and leading law enforcement on a high-speed chase while under the influence. The priest was accused of stealing an ice cream container and oven mitts.

Wejnerowski was removed from his position from his role at the church after he was apprehended by authorities. The diocese expressed that he would take the time to “seek inpatient treatment out of state.”
