Libations and Litigation: Lawsuit Filed Against Taco Bell Claims Staff Christmas Party Evolved Into Booze-Fueled Chaos and Brazen Sexual Behavior

A former Taco Bell employee has initiated legal proceedings against the fast-food chain and a franchise proprietor, claiming that a booze-filled holiday celebration at the San Pedro location allegedly featured excessive servings of alcohol, explicit sexual activity — and someone vomiting in a guacamole bowl.
Filed last week in Los Angeles Superior Court, Alana Bechiom’s lawsuit contends that her supervisor took measures to obscure the restaurant’s windows and internal lobby cameras during the December 18, 2022, event, where she contributed a guacamole dish to the potluck-style gathering.
The plaintiff asserts that her supervisor “overserved” staff, leading to what she describes as a state of intoxication for several attendees. According to the NY Post, a shocking incident unfolded around midnight, with Bechiom claiming she witnessed a co-worker engaged in a public sexual encounter with his wife. Furthermore, she claims the co-worker’s wife was intimately involved with her female manager and another female colleague simultaneously.
“Shocked, disgusted and outraged by what she saw,” according to the suit, Bechiom quickly left the scene. Upon returning to the location to grab her guacamole bowl, Bechiom witnessed someone vomit into it, as the complaint alleges.
In the aftermath, Bechiom reported the episode to Taco Bell’s human resources and the franchisee. Subsequently, the implicated manager and co-workers reportedly faced termination.
Allegedly, Bechiom later encountered threats and vandalism to her car, leading to her resignation. She contends that the company’s response to the threats was inadequate, and she believes that Taco Bell violated anti-discrimination laws, per the complaint.
A Taco Bell spokesperson stated that, while they don’t oversee the specific location, the franchisee takes these allegations “very seriously,” according to YourErie.
