This year’s Super Bowl brought all manner of unexpected brand collaborations; Beyonce for Verizon, Michael Cera for CeraVe, Ice Spice for Starry Soda and so on and so on.

Keeping the momentum rolling ahead of Valentine’s Day, Kendall Jenner’s 818 Tequila is teaming up with Rao’s Homemade for a saucy “Pasta Alla Tequila” cooking kit complete with 818-shaped pasta and a custom waffle dish towel. Because of course.

Announcing the limited-edition launch, Kendall and her sister Kylie Jenner shared a video from the 818 kitchen complete with cocktails, boozy marinara sauce infusions and the expected assortment of light-hearted jabs.

“I love swapping in 818 for other spirits when making cocktails, and we are always showing people how versatile tequila is, so we thought… why not try it in pasta?” said Kendall Jenner in a press release.

“We are excited to partner with Rao’s Homemade – a staple in my pantry, and the perfect match for 818 with their high-quality ingredients. The recipe turned out delicious and you can really recognize the citrus and agave notes of the 818 Blanco in the final dish. I can’t wait for people to try this recipe for themselves.”

Since launching in 2021, 818 Tequila has grown fond of surprise collaborations.

Over the past two years, the brand has released a Christmas-themed Toffee and Tequila chocolate bar, espresso martini glitter bombs and cocktail kits in addition to an “818 Bricks Program” to turn post-production agave fibers into construction materials. Given the Kardashian-Jenner’s repertoire, it should come as no surprise that 818 has positioned itself more as a lifestyle brand than a mere spirits brand.

“Our 818 Tequila Blanco has bright and citrusy notes from agave and plays well with the slow-simmered Italian tomatoes that Rao’s Homemade uses in their Marinara Sauce. It’s an unexpected combination that ends up being beautifully tasty, and we thought this partnership was the perfect opportunity to continue to demonstrate tequila’s versatility,” said David Yan Gonzalez, Director of Tequila Operations at 818 Tequila.

“With tequila’s popularity on the rise, consumers are always looking for innovative ways to use tequila in cocktails and food pairings.”
