Proof Brewing Co., a Tallahassee-based craft brewery, has announced it will be providing the local community with free water as Hurricane Ian rapidly approaches Florida.

The brewery wrote on Instagram that it will be offering clean, filtered drinking water on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Individuals have been invited to bring any size of bulk container to the location and staff will fill it right up! Proof Brewing will also provide personal 500-milliliter bottles with caps if needed.

Proof Brewing is no stranger to supporting its local community. In June, the brewery took part in a “Charity Bottle Share” event to support the Boys & Girls Club of the Big Bend. Locals got together to share beer, raffle, make connections and place donations for the charity.

In 2020, Proof Brewing started producing its own hand sanitizer during the Covid-19 pandemic as disinfecting products flew off of retail shelves.

We send our gratitude to Proof Brewing and greatly appreciate its efforts to support its community.

Hurricane Ian has already begun to hit Florida’s Southwest coast. As of Wednesday, winds are reaching extreme speeds and flood warnings have been issued to residents of the affected areas.

Please stay safe, Florida.
