Elon Musk Hops on Trend: Billionaire CEO Releases Tesla CyberBeer Set That Costs $150, Sells Out in Mere Days

What do electric cars and beer have in common? – apparently, Elon Musk. The brand behind the emerging electric car trend, Tesla has introduced beer to its portfolio. Recently, the billionaire-backed brand announced the release of CyberBeer in America to celebrate the much-awaited arrival of the CyberTruck. However, finding a Tesla Cyberbeer may be trickier since it is seen as a bit of a collector’s item now.

This isn’t Musk’s first foray into the alcohol market though. In May, Telsa made a GigaBier, a German pilsner, available for purchase in parts of Europe in conjunction with the announcement of a German manufacturing facility. However, the $97 three-pack of 11-ounce bottles couldn’t be shipped to the United States. So, Tesla made CyberBeer for American fans of the electric car company.

The Tesla CyberBeer, limited edition set includes two bottles of beer, as well as two matte black ceramic beer steins. The pair of mugs and beer bottles are designed to “celebrate the angular exoskeleton” of Cybertruck, Tesla’s highly anticipated and extremely expensive electric SUV. Consequently, the beer and accompanying glasses also come with a hefty price tag. The limited edition beer and stein set is priced at $150, plus $15 shipping.

The beer inside the eccentric bottles was brewed by Torrance, California’s Buzzrock Brewing Company. According to the product description, the Cyberbeer is a Helles Lager brewed with “European Noble Hops Saaz and Hallertau Mittlefruh,” and the brand claims that the 7% ABV beer is “accentuated by notes of herb and spice and more notable aromas of tea and citrus.”

Unfortunately, if you were looking to get your hands on a set of limited edition beers and steins, you may have to search the internet for resale. On Monday, just days after entry into the Tesla online shop, CyberBeer sold out completely.

For those lucky enough to have already purchased the beer set, it may have already increased in value as a collector’s item. Previously, Tesla’s limited edition añejo Tequila sold out within hours of release. Currently, the lightning bolt-shaped “Teslaquilla” bottles are reselling for upwards of $900.

The CyberBeer is scheduled to start shipping later this month.
