Costa Tequila Brings Signature ‘HI/LO’ Blend to New York City

Costa Tequila has doubled down on its partnership with Sheehan Family Companies to expand its quartet of agave spirits across New York state.

Costa’s schtick revolves around a HI/LO blend that combines highlands- and lowlands-sourced Blue Weber agave. While highlands agave is known for its naturally sweet, fruit-forward flavor, lowlands agave digs deeper into earthy terroir and peppery spice.

Since its inception in 2019, Costa has launched a Blanco, eight-month Reposado and 16-month Añejo. Costa has also introduced a 35% ABV coffee liqueur, one of several Patron XO Café alternatives launched following the original bottle’s unceremonious discontinuation in 2021.

“New York City is the home of legendary cocktail bars and discerning spirits drinkers,” says Costa Tequila Founder Stephen Gavula III. “We’re excited to bring our innovative tequilas into such a dynamic space, with help from our trusted partners at Sheehan.”

With the addition of New York, Costa is now available in 14 states including Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Missouri, South Carolina, Colorado, Washington D.C., West Virginia, Connecticut, Arizona, Tennessee, Illinois and Nebraska.
