On Friday, two individuals were caught by police with a car packed full of allegedly stolen booze in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. According to WPLG Local 10, the two were found after getting stuck in poor afternoon traffic conditions and taking one wrong turn.

The final liquor haul was estimated to be worth about $1,500 and included brands such as Cîroc, St-Rémy VSOP, Courvoisier and Patrón.

The booze products were allegedly lifted from Total Wine and ABC Wine & Spirits in North Miami Beach and Navarro’s Pharmacy in Sunny Isles Beach, per WPLG. The two individuals involved have been identified as 40-year-old Glenese Dingle and 54-year-old John Henry McDougle.

“They went into the store and the female was asking nonsensical questions and when she was doing that, the male filled a plastic bin with wheels on it that was in the store with as much alcohol as he could fill and, once he had it filled, he said ‘let’s go,’” said Sunny Isles Beach police Sgt. Brian Schnell, per WPLG.

An officer found their vehicle after police sent out a “be-on-the-lookout notice,” according to the report. The two allegedly attempted to shake off the officer but ended up trapped in afternoon “bumper-to-bumper” traffic on Collins Avenue and taking one wrong turn that led to a dead end, per WPLG.

According to the report, stand-still traffic is a regular occurrence for Collins Avenue.

“We are a one-way-in, one-way-out town,” Schnell added. “Chances are, we’re going to catch you and that’s what happened here.”

WPLG reported that the liquor found in the vehicle had been returned to the stores.
