‘Barbie’ Actress Issa Rae Releases ‘Crisp, Lively and Expressive’ Prosecco

Producer, writer and American actress Issa Rae has released her own Prosecco in collaboration with E. & J. Gallo Winery. Dubbed Viarae, the new sparkling Italian wine is described as “crisp, lively and expressive.”
“We are excited to partner with Issa Rae, who entrusted us with executing her vision of the perfect Prosecco – one that shares our desire to serve joy in everyday moments,” said Beth Orozco, Vice President of Marketing for E.& J. Gallo Winery, in a press release.
“Crisp, lively, and expressive, this is a perfect choice for those candid, unfiltered times with friends, whether that’s a sunny day by the pool or in the bright city lights at night. Issa also shares our mission to demystify wine and make it more inclusive. Viarae will help us reach that goal.”

Aiming to bring a vibrant and refined twist to the classic Italian sparkling wine, Viarae Prosecco noted that it embodies the spirit of celebration, regardless of the occasion.
Rae, also known for her recent role in “Barbie,” where she portrayed President Barbie, is passionate about sharing her love for Prosecco through this venture. Prosecco has long been a signature drink for Rae, both on and off the screen, and it prominently featured in her acclaimed HBO series “Insecure.”

“I am thrilled to share my love of Prosecco with everyone through Viarae. It’s carefully crafted, deliciously crisp, and the perfect beverage to celebrate La Dolce Vita,” Rae stated.
Additionally, the brand prides itself on crafting an inclusive and authentic representation of the vibrant Black female community, a commitment it said is reflected in the Prosecco’s gold and brown packaging.
Viarae Prosecco is crafted from 100% Glera grapes, the traditional varietal of Prosecco, and is produced by the La Marca cooperative in Treviso, Northern Italy. Viarae Prosecco is now available nationwide through select retailers and on-premise establishments.
