‘No Exceptions’: A Nude Brawl Outside This Local Bar May Have Led to a Polarizing Age Ban on Customers Under 30 During Weekends

Local 12 reported that an Ohio bar named Donerick’s Pub has gone viral after implementing a bar ban on customers under 30 in response to allegations of an incident of violence. The New York Post reported that Donerick’s might have chosen to move forward with the ban after a nude brawl took place between two women in the parking lot. The incident was filmed and uploaded to Instagram on April 28.

In the video, a large group surrounds an unclothed woman as she hits a fully clothed woman in a public parking lot as onlookers film the scene with their phones and try to break up the fight.

“Like literally this world irritates me, it’s disgusting,” an individual commented on the video.

Donerick’s went forward with implementing the under-30 age ban on May 1.

Yet despite the bar’s best efforts to curb incidents of violence, the reaction from the public has been polarizing. The bar announced the under-30 age ban on its Facebook page in a post that read the following:

“30 & Up Friday and Saturday Nights!! No exceptions.”

Some individuals favored the ban, and others believed it was unfair. One user even declared the latest rule was “ageism at its finest.”

“More like bingo night,” another user commented in response to the controversial ban.

An individual claimed the age ban wouldn’t curb the incidents of rowdy behavior at the bar and suggested the venue begin implementing a dress code instead. Others claimed that some of the people responsible for violence occurring at Donerick’s were over 30 years of age.

“35+ please. If things don’t change I will never go back after the shenanigans this past weekend. Embarrassing.”

Though the New York Post reported that Donerick’s didn’t specifically mention which incidents caused staff to make this decision, many believe the nude parking lot brawl was the last straw.

Donerick’s has a 2.2-star rating on Yelp out of 17 reviews. Patrons have complained about the customer service, citing “exceptionally rude treatment,” according to a review.

Yet it still seems like the bar has quite the fan base regardless of Yelp reviews, and several 29-year-olds were disappointed by Donnerick’s Facebook post.

“Shoot! Just missed being able to go by one year,” a Facebook user commented.
