‘He Wanted Me Fired’: Amber Heard’s Unsealed Therapy Notes Claim Jason Momoa was ‘Drunk’ on the Set of ‘Aquaman 2’

The new Aquaman movie “The Lost Kingdom” has been swirling with rumors of bad screentests and onset drama with lead actress Amber Heard. According to a new report from Variety and documents released as part of the Johnny Depp vs. Amber Heard defamation trial, Heard had some scathing accusations about co-star Jason Momoa. “The Rum Diary” actress claimed Momoa wanted her gone and came to the set late and drunk.
The Depp-Heard trial captured the nation last year with secrets and hidden dramas being uncovered about the Hollywood couple and ended with Heard being found guilty of defamation. As part of the case, Depp’s attorneys subpoenaed therapy notes from Heard’s therapist, Dr. Dawn Hughes. Afterward, Depp fans paid the necessary court fees to release the documents which were raw, handwritten notes. The session notes painted a picture of toxicity toward Heard and took aim at Momoa as well as others involved with the Aquaman movies.
In Heard’s mind, Momoa must have taken a side in the case since she described the work environment as being less than friendly. “Jason said he wanted me fired,” read the notes. “Jason drunk — late on set. Dressing like Johnny. Has all the rings too.”
A source confirmed the notes related to the “Aquaman 2” set and specifically an incident from Dec. 27, 2021.
DC spokesperson responded, “Jason Momoa conducted himself in a professional manner at all times on the set of ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.’” Another source added, “Jason works his ass off, likes to have a beer once in a while like everyone, but doesn’t show up drunk to set.”
Sources suggest a much different vibe on set with Momoa and Heard witnessed getting along and joking with each other.
Momoa’s fashion choices likely didn’t have anything to do with his costar and more to do with his laid-back style. Another source refuted the notes by saying, “And he isn’t dressing like Johnny Depp. He has always dressed in that bohemian style.”
In 2018, Heard was almost fired following the “Aquaman” release. The timing of the lawsuit and rumors of Heard being fired from Aquaman at the time appeared to correlate. However, during the trial witnesses indicated that the decision to fire Heard had nothing to do with Depp. The studio and Wan suggested that Heard lacked chemistry with Momoa and a letter was sent to her lawyer which took place prior to Depp filing his suit in 2019. The “Game of Thrones” actor was reportedly not involved in the decision to let Heard go.
But why didn’t Heard actually get the boot? It turns out her former boyfriend, Elon Musk intimidated the studio with a “scorched-earth letter to Warner Bros. threatening to burn the house down” if she was fired from the sequel. Apparently, Warner Bros. didn’t take the threat lightly and Amber Heard returned.
Since then, “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” has seemingly been plagued with new film cuts and reshoots after several bad screentests. At least two of Heard’s scenes have been cut from the sequel which has further fueled speculation that people aren’t happy with the current Mera.
Despite, Momoa’s and Heard’s relationship on set being characterized as friendly, more recently Mamoa appears to have unfollowed his co-star on Instagram. A source even claimed that Heard was blocked by him.
Just when it appears that the Johnny Depp-Amber Heard drama is in the past, new details come to light. Variety’s sources in its latest report seem to debunk most of Heard’s therapy session accusations and it is hard to say what was happening on the set of “Aquaman 2.” Presently, Momoa seems content promoting his own alcohol brand, Meili Vodka, as he makes his way across the country to do bottle signings. He has yet to comment on the recent report.
