The 5 New Tequila Releases You Need to Know About in March 2026
Rain or shine, there’s bound to be a hodgepodge of new tequila releases touching down on liquor store shelves. March was no different. Though we’re still months away from summer revelry and nearly a year away from the holiday gifting season, the agave spirits industry is chugging along as strong as ever, debuting products sure to pique the interest of every kind of tequila lover. Are they all worth checking out? Probably not. Are they worth talking about? Most definitely.
Here are five tequila launches from March 2026 to put on your radar.
Pocho Fino

March was an unusually dry season for celebrity tequila, the bread and butter of buzzy spirits releases that always manage to cut through the noise. The sole exception came from comedian Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias, who recently launched an homage to his Mexican-American roots. Dubbed Pocho Fino, the brand rolled out nationwide with an unaged Blanco and two flavored offerings: Grilled Pineapple and Mexican Candy, the latter of which is said to taste like candied watermelon, fresh lime and jalapeño. The brand is fun, colorful and tongue-in-cheek — maybe not “premium,” per se, but a hundred celebrity agave brands have already gone down that route. Pocho Fino clocks in on the affordable side of the spectrum at just under $30 per 750-milliliter bottle.
Mijenta Tequila Symphony Series No. 3

Acclaimed additive-free distiller Mijenta has kept up the momentum with a string of limited-edition releases, the latest of which was its Symphony Series No. 3. Bottled at 45% ABV, the añejo spent 18 months in the brand’s Symphony barrels, a proprietary cask type that combine staves sourced from oak forests in Minnesota, Missouri, Pennsylvania and Virginia (possibly the last four places you’d think of when imagining tequila). We’ve been keen on everything that Mijenta has released in the past and can’t wait to dive into this one with a full review. Though high-proof blancos are very much in the zeitgeist right now, high-proof añejos remain a rarity — surprisingly so considering the popularity of 50%+ ABV whiskeys among American consumers. Hats off to Mijenta for pushing boundaries with its latest release, now available in the U.S. at a suggested retail price of $119.99.
Sierra 100% Agave Tequila

Have you ever bought one of those tequila bottles with the plastic sombrero on top? If so, you probably have more than a few college-era memories you’d rather forget. That (in)famous brand, Sierra, has finally decided to up its game with a range of 100% Blue Weber agave tequilas. Forgoing miniature hatware in favor of a traditional cork, the product extension comes in Blanco, Reposado and Añejo varieties, all distilled from seven-year agaves sourced from the Sierra Madre Mountains. It’s a fascinating change of tune from one of the most recognizable brands in the game, and as sure a sign as any that the tequila industry is trending away from dorm room party shots. The trio is currently rolling out through travel retail channels in the range of $25 to $40.
Don Julio 1942 FIFA Edition

Don Julio releases a lot of limited-edition reskins for its popular 1942 bottling: Chinese New Year, Super Bowl, DJ Peggy Gou, you name it. The latest in its series of ultra-tall, ultra-expensive collector’s items pays homage to the FIFA World Cup 2026. This time around, the decanter is clad in shades of gold and green, topped off with a malachite cork and a bite-sized rendition of the FIFA logo. Though the juice inside is the same as ever, that hasn’t stopped Don Julio completionists from depleting reserves in the past. Expect prices of $200 or more once this hits the resale market.
Pre-Mixed Cocktails Galore

In the olden days (AKA, 2017 – 2020), each new month would usher in a handful of celebrity tequilas. These days, trends have been firmly replaced by the rise of the canned cocktail. Convenience store shelves are bursting at the seams with all manner of pre-batched margarita, paloma and ranch water riffs, and A-listers are leading the charge. Earlier this month, rapper Lil Yachty expanded his Yacht Water lineup with a Pineapple flavor that combined reposado tequila, lime juice, sparkling water and sea salt. A week later, George Clooney’s Casamigos forayed into the category with a duo of margaritas sold in 750-milliliter format. Though technically unrelated, we’d be remiss if we didn’t also mention that 818 Tequila (of Kendall Jenner fame) recently released an agave fragrance collection in collaboration with Salt & Stone. All we’ll say is, tequila deodorant certainly wasn’t on our 2026 bucket list.
