Birds fans, rejoice: the Philadelphia Eagles’ iconic midnight green and silver colorway is now gracing a duo of tequila releases in honor of Cinco de Mayo.

The sports franchise has teamed back up with BOTLD, which already released Bird Gang Bourbon and Bird Gang Vodka for the team, to expand into the fastest-growing spirits category in America. Set to debut next week, the new expressions include an unaged Silver Tequila and a habanero-infused Spicy Tequila.

The spirits are distilled at the Orendain Distillery in Jalisco, Mexico, home to brands including Casa Komos Tequila, Imperio Del Don and Mark Wahlberg’s Flecha Azul. The tequila is then packaged locally in Philadelphia, bearing several hallmarks of the team’s legacy. Keen-eyed fans will notice that each bottle is inscribed with the slogan “Vuelen Águilas Vuelen” – Spanish for Fly Eagles Fly.

“To the shot takers, marg makers, tailgaters and lifelongers, we present this Kelly Green Limited Edition Bird Gang Silver Tequila- an easy drinking, no b.s. tribute to a gritty, hard-nosed era of Philadelphia Eagles football,” BOTLD says.

“Kelly Green evokes an important part of the franchise’s history, one that dates back 90 years in the National Football League.”

Bottled at 80 proof, Bird Gang Silver is now available online at $34. Its spicy counterpart, also available for $34, is currently up for pre-order with shipping expected on May 10.

Alongside last year’s Bird Gang Bourbon and Bird Gang Vodka, Bird Gang Tequila is the third official spirits release from the Philadelphia Eagles. Though the team has remained relatively tight-lipped, officials say that more liquor releases can be expected soon “to signify milestones and historical team moments.” If the team continues to collaborate with BOTLD, the distillery’s expansive catalog of gins, rums and liqueurs could all be put to good use in future iterations of the series.

The Eagles partnered with Kevin Hart’s Gran Coramino Tequila in September, commemorating the deal with a suite of branding and signature cocktails. Hart — a Philadelphia native — has long championed the Eagles as a de facto mascot for his brand.

The comedian made headlines ahead of Super Bowl LVIII when he reportedly bought a $16.5 million eagle to cheer on his team’s matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. The eagle, named after quarterback Jalen Hurts, was pictured in countless photoshoots alongside Hart’s twisty tequila bottles.
