Sierra Norte Single Barrel Purple Corn Whiskey is distilled in Oaxaca, Mexico, by Scorpion Mezcal S.A. de C.V. It features a mashbill of 85% native Oaxacan purple corn and 15% malted barley. The whiskey undergoes milling in a hammer mill, fermentation in open stainless steel vats with natural yeast and a two-step distillation process in stainless steel pot stills followed by slow distillation in copper pot stills. Aged for a minimum of two years in French oak barrels, it is bottled at 90 proof. It is imported by Caballeros Inc./Park Street Imports, Miami, FL.
